This course will introduce and discuss principal components the United States healthcare reimbursement system. An overview of the three different payer types: Medicare, Medicaid and private payers will be followed by detailed information about coding, coverage and payment in various sites of care. The billing process will also be detailed along with an explanation of how the respiratory therapist can have a direct impact of the reimbursement process. YOU WILL HAVE TWO CHANCES TO PASS THE TEST.
