This course will explore the myths and realities of reimbursement and how respiratory therapists can impact on the reimbursement process. The eligibility requirements and benefits of the various Medicare programs and role of Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) will be presented. The processes for filing claims and payor coverage decisions will be explained. Finally the various types of private payor systems will be presented and discussed. YOU WILL HAVE TWO CHANCES TO PASS THE TEST.
