#4 Delirium/Sedation in ICU:Improving Outcomes of Mech Vent
Item No: PR9004
*NEW IN 2009* THIS IS TOPIC #4 IN THE 2009 PROFESSOR'S ROUND SERIES. Over one-half of ICU survivors subsequently suffer a functionally debilitating dementia-like chronic illness, which appears related to the duration of delirium. Without formal measurement, ICU-delirium is missed 75% of the time. Dr. Ely will present available tools to diagnose delirium in ICU patients and implement proven treatment strategies to reduce the impact of this newly recognized and devastating illness. Professor is E. Wesley Ely, MD MPH and Moderator is Dean Hess, PhD RRT FAARC. Includes 1 CRCE per employee upon completion of test. Lecture is available now on DVD. Order the entire series and save - see Item # PR9009. For more information on this series and other topics, see AARC Professor's Rounds 2009
